"Kraken" botnet ascends from the depth to destroy your puny IT ship.

In a way, I love these new names more then anything else. Seriously, Kraken? how awesome is that?

What's more serious, though, is the fact that this new Kraken botnet is larger then the fear-inducing size of "Storm", which was already putting botnet researchers' computers into catatonic shock whenever they even try to understand anything about the nature of this beast.

Also, what makes Kraken more dangerous is that apparently, many of the computers in the Kraken botnet consist of computers in the big fortune 500 companies. That's a shocker because large companies like that invest millions into system protection and various security measures, for a simple botnet zombie... uh... thingy to infiltrate past whatever firewall measure set up and for the codes to dwell within the computers, equipped with all sorts of antivirus, undetected, is a frightening prospect!!!

Although I like the idea of the owner of Kraken get pissed off at the owner of Storm, and then a cybernetic DDoS war breaks out, I'm not really sure who would win in that situation, but most likely the people with the zombified computers would lose, big time.
