Tips to save money on gas.

Lifehacker just recently posted an article on various tips to save money on gas. They went through the basic procedures like stop wasting money on gimmicky solutions and myth(apparently, over inflating or under inflating your tires only has a minuscule impact on gas consumption) to slightly more helpful information like taking tips from a hypermiler:

* Use your cruise control. You'll never be able to maintain a perfect cruising speed as well as the cruise control.

* Drive the speed limit. Unless you're driving across the entire country speeding won't save you more than a few minutes, will cost you more in gas, and increase the chance of being involved in an accident.

* Stop using your brakes to slow down. If you know your highway exit is a mile away, don't drive 80 mph until the ramp and slam your brakes to slow down to the 30 mph that will get you safely off the expressway.

They also had links to some websites that keeps track of gas prices around your area, and with gas prices now hitting the average of $4 a gallon, I figure that you guys (who may not browse the various "lifehack" websites) may find the tips helpful... at least, more then me, who drives an SUV that sucks gas like a redneck on Pearl Light.
