Wii will teach you how to pole dance.

I know that some would argue for the health benefits of pole dancing, lord knows the day that pole dancing becomes an Olympic sport is the day that you'll see product endorsement on stripper's boobs. Not a bad way of selling Tide to a male audience, I'd say. Anyway, some company is working on a Wii Pole dancing simulator.

"What?" you may say, but don't let this distress you, as this particular quote from the company's spokesman encapsulate you in bubble wraps of crazy:

“Peekaboo will be all about fun and fitness for a new generation. Peekaboo wants to make the fitness benefits of aerobic pole dancing accessible to millions of Wii users. The goal is to encourage men and women of all shapes and sizes to improve their pole dancing skills while having fun, toning up and burning calories. Ultimately Peekaboo and AT New Media want to do for pole dancing what ‘Guitar Hero‘ did for rock n roll!”

People, Guitar Hero helped made alot of players become interested in the musical instrument that is the guitar. Are they possibly suggesting that by playing "peekaboo", we may become interested in the fine art of burlesque? I have a tendency to not listen to what I say, but even I had a hard time imagining people gyrating to cabaret music and suddenly deciding to pick up POLE DANCING as a viable hobby. Then again, maybe the whole "family appeal" of Wii will make that dream a reality, building a foundation for a future generation of saucy gyrating dancers who nobody can put in the corner.

I don't know, my head's killing me and I believe I'm seeing the first sign of mad bees, so I may just be ranting lunacy right now.
