This story is starting to become pretty unbelievable the more I hear it. This is the second incarnation for instance, the first was the exact same story, but in San Diego involving U.S.M.C. aircraft. I don't believe that they have systems that automatically look and fire on a radar signal without determination by the pilot. Aircraft are "pinged" by radar signals all the time. Plus the Sidewinder missile system is not air to ground, seems if the letter(s) had been written by actual military personnel they might have known that.
