People shouldn't assume Americans eat this stuff all the time. The reason it makes it to the news is because it is so weird. There's plenty of fattening food elsewhere, too. I might want to have a bite of that fried butter, but I doubt I could stomach the entire thing. I don't think my doctor would like me to eat it at all!
The Iowa State Fair actually features deep fried butter on a stick. Takes a bit odd, but good.
