Robots Identify Fleshy Meatsacks as Bacon

The Japs, in an ever-increasing desire to bring humanity to our doom, has created a robot sommelier that can identify all sorts of food stuff.
Researchers at NEC System Technologies and Mie University have designed a robot that can taste — an electromechanical sommelier able to identify dozens of different wines, cheeses and hors d'oeuvres.

This is all cute and adorable and kind of useful until...
When a reporter's hand was placed against the robot's taste sensor, it was identified as prosciutto. A cameraman was mistaken for bacon.

Shit.
