This is why I stopped going to Anime Conventions.

No, not necessarily because of these guys' Haruhi outfits, but because I may get drunk enough to be tempted to dress up like one too.

DON'T JUDGE ME!

Boo Hoo for you

Japanese phone maker, Symbian, apparently created this particular viral about a year ago to insult us Western cellphone holders.

I'm not sure what they are trying to tell us, because I'm frankly still happy with a mobile phone that I can use to kill any unsuspecting mugger.

"But Benny, what about that futuristic piece of plastic you have strapped to your side at all times?" You ask.

"What, this LG enV? This is my "I'll do anything and everything except using it as a proper phone" device." Will be my reply.

so... about this picture...

It's apparently a Japanese movie (no surprise there.) called Funky Forest, how deliciously bizarre.

Come out of the closet, Japanese Woman.

Japanese woman caught living in man's closet, and no, it's not some weird kinky Japanese crap, this is simply bizarre.

At least she's "neat and clean"... Although I would really like to see what this closet looks like, standard western closet just wouldn't seem to make sense to me, especially if you look at this photo Yahoo supplied:

But this is where the cultural divide displays itself, because if memory serves me right, alot of the Japanese closet actually looks more like this:

(Humans not included)

Ok, so that's technically a futon cupboard, but in older apartments room there could be some cubby hole available in the ceiling or something, I don't know, I don't live in Japan, but lord knows it'd be nice to visit there.

Thanks Stacy.

You don't want strong air conditioning.

Which is why it's a good thing Japan's on the case.

It's only fair...

Just to be on the fair side, Japan hasn't been just objectifying women and their undergarments, men cannot escape their strange head machinations as well(it's funny how if you say "Japan" and follow it with anything in the blogosphere, you are inevitably looking for something bizarre).

The problem is that I've lost the website where I found these from, and I don't think they've listed where you can buy these, so if you wish to purchase them, well, best of luck to ya, gentle caresser of... yeah...

The Solar Bra, or How I learned to stop worrying and love the bra.

This is the story of how I learned to stop fearing the bra, and embraced it. Back during my younger years, I witnessed my older brother Joseah being strangled to death by a pair of black laces, it wound around his chest so tightly that the coroner had to remove his lung in quarters. That summer was never the same...

really, I have no idea where I'm going with this, I just love the idea of going out to the beach and see a sea of hot chicks, equipped with the capability to charge my camera, it's like some sort of Asian tourist heaven, but... um... HYPERBOLE!

DAS STORY

reminds me of the rice bowl bra...

By the way, Gizmodo has an amazing selection of articles under the tag "bra", it's too bad that I would never use them, although my man melons has been sagging lately.

Japan: not just your normal brand of strange...

Besides their strange social fetish, Japan is also well known for their love of manipulating everything, taking advantage of "unused" space. It's perfectly understandable practice, considering that there's practically 3 hundred billion kajillion people living on a tiny tiny strip of island no bigger then california, they need to use everything they can find. So it's with no surprise to find out that Japanese farmers has been experimenting with growing a square watermelon, to decrease the unused space and increase shippability.

Left you have a "normal" square watermelon, while the one on the right actually has a dice design imprinted.

Of course, not leting conventional wisdom stop them, they soon began experimenting more and more, until they developed the pyramid watermelon.

but NO!!! The pyramid was only but a stepping stone, letting they set foot onward to the terrifying world of HUMAN CLONING THROUGH WATERMELONS!!!

It ended up being sort of a failure...

Disheartened, they went back to the drawing board, and settled for hearts and stars (and Horseshoes, Clovers, and Blue Moons! Pots of Gold and Rainbows, and me Red Balloons!)

Say what you will, but they certainly add a nice "omph" to your average stir fry!

PingMag they also had some excellent explanation for how the fruits came to being.

4chan will fucking break you.

If you've never been to 4chan, then good for you, I can't explain 4chan, but if you ever wonder where half of the internet's most virulent meme comes from, it would be exceedlingly safe to blame 4chan, because they managed to start quite alot of it.

the rickroll, for instance.
Photobucket
lololololol

ahem, anyway, I've been stalking 4chan for the last couple of days, and the imagery I've seen can only be described as... perplexing, but the problem is that most of them are there for shock value... but that doesn't mean I can't find anything, but anyway, if you ever wanted to get a taste of how strange the "random" section of 4chan can get, here is a very tiny and somewhat safe taste of it (and no, I couldn't find any epic fail guy, but that's more of an inside joke for the /b/, I'd say)

some of these aren't from 4chan, but they are weird enough that they'd belong.

god damn it, Japan!

GOD DAMN IT!

Wednesday, May 7, 2008

I've been eating too many beans and have to image dump.

I really seriously would not be surprised if this really happens...

what do you say with the inappropriate ads?

Be prepared for zombie season.

everything is better with... bacon?

He would have much less problems at the primary if he comes out with that suit on.

deers are creepy.

"THE CALLS ARE COMING FROM THE HOUSE!"

Lenin shoots, LENIN SCORES!

wtf Japan, wtf?

And this one I just don't get.

"No dude, no."
"I'll let you borrow it!"
"... WELL OK, DAMN IT!"

The end of the day "Why is it always Japan" video links.

Because you just can't do this kind of stuff in America.

Human Velcro Wall

Human Tetris

Human BOO!

I sense a genuine "distaste" of a lot of bloggers that believes that linking to youtube takes away from your blog posts. Fortunately, I don't have that particular distaste, and besides, this blog is about all the different stupid crap I come across or even thinks of, in a way, it's like a horror-capsule, instead of time, it contains horrors.

If I ever actually become an actual "content" provider, I may think differently, although I doubt it, since being an actual "content provider" requires "actual work", oh, and "actual creativity", exhausting, I tells ya.

What the hell am I saying, I'm not even a blogger, I'm just an ass who waste too much time at work.

Why is it always Japan?

This is a picture of an alligator, who is standing on its hind legs.

Of course, this alligator is located in Japan, just like the penguine that goes to the market,

the chihuahua that prays,

(source)

and the panda dog.

Actually, the panda dog's located in China, so I'm actually spreading out the crazy from just plain old Japan, to all over Asia.

...

Minor.

I have no idea where Asia Minor is...

source of standing gator story

We've often argued...

but it's coming to an agreement that the Japanese are utterly insane.

There's nothing appropriate about this video, but then again, Japan, in general is just not quite normal to begin with.
